Migration and DevelopmentKofi Annan, in his preparatory document for the UN High Level Dialogue on International Migration and Development (September 2006), stated that international migration related to development should be viewed not as a threat, but as an opportunity. A positive attitude towards migrants and migration, combined with sound migration policies, can result in a 'Triple Win'; beneficial effets for the country of origin, for the country of destination and for the migrants themselves. Inspired by the notion of migration as a 'Triple Win' the Worldconnectors have drafted a bold yet positive Statement on Migration and Development in the Netherlands.  Amsterdam has opened a new progressive mosque. Worldconnector Tariq Ramadan attended the official opening ceremonie. The Poldermoskee aims to involve young Muslims of all ethnicities, who are born and raised in the Netherlands and welcoms non-Muslims as well.
