Waterlex is organising an event on the role of National Human Rights Institutions in monitoring the to be implemented Sustainable Development Goals. National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) are uniquely placed to ensure a human rights based monitoring of the implementation of the post-2015 Agenda.

This event promotes the potential role of NHRIs in monitoring SDGs with a special focus on Goal 6: “Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.”The event also serves as the official launch of the new WaterLex book, National Human Rights Institutions and Water Governance: Compilation of Good Practices. The book is available for download.

Worldconnector Jan van de Venis is chairing the session, which takes place on 13 March from 14:00 to 15:00. It is primarily intended for NHRIs. For full details of the event visit Waterlex.org. If you are interested in their work, have a look at their events schedule for upcoming activities.
