Nacht van de vluchtelingHow far would you walk at night for fear of violence?
At midnight on Saturday June 18, the starting shot will sound for the 2016 Night of the Refugee. Thousands of people will walk 40 kilometres from Rotterdam to The Hague, or from Nijmegen to Arnhem, to raise awareness for refugees worldwide, and raise funds for emergency help to those refugees.
As well as these two 40 kilometres night walks, there will be a Night of the Refugee evening walk. This walk will be held for the second time and people of all ages, including children and families, will walk a route from 10 kilometres through The Hague to raise funds for refugees.

60 million refugees
Worldwide, there are over 60 million people who fled from war, violence and oppression. All participants of the Night of the Refugee raise money for refugees and displaced people worldwide and offer help to refugees and uprooted people all over the world.

Sign up and join!
We cannot stop wars ourselves but together we can make sure that refugees in severe circumstances have access to shelter, food, drinking water and medical care. You can help! Sign up with your own team or join an existing team. You can still register and participate in the Night of the Refugee, but do so in time!
The seventh edition of the Night of the Refugee is organised by the Netherlands Refugee Foundation (Stichting Vluchteling).

If you are not living in The Netherlands, but you want to start your own fundraising for the Night of the Refugee, we recommend you to make your fundraising page at JustGiving
