Frederike Praasterink is a member of the Executive Board HAS Hogeschool, and also a member of the Food & Business Knowledge Platform.

Professional background
Frederike was lecturer Sustainable World’s Foods Supplies at HAS Hogeschool. As a lecturer, she worked with students, teachers and practitioners on sustainability challenges in the Agro and Food sector in international context and educational development in the area of international sustainable development. The new study programme International Food & Agribusiness was created by this lectorate. As a board member at HAS Hogeschool, she is responsible for knowledge development and internationalisation.

Frederike finished her studies in 1988 at the University of Wageningen in horticulture plant cultivation. After working at the Research & Development department of a chemical – pharmaceutical company for several years, she went to Bhutan and the Philipines for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in 1992. For 15 years she worked for the FAO in various countries in Asia, Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East. At the end of 2006, she started at HAS Hogeschool in Den Bosch, first as a teacher and later on as a lecturer and currently as a member of the Executive Board.
