Marie José works as manager at CNV Internationaal on strengthening trade unions in developing countries, that are contributing as member organisations and social partners to poverty reduction and sustainable economic development. CNV and its partners are seeking for a solution for social economic conflicts through social dialogue and negotiations. Marie José is member of the Programma Board at MVO Nederland, board member at Partos (branch organisations for development organisations). Furthermore, she is active for D66.

Professional background
Marie José is a historian and has worked for years as international advisor and interim manager at the European Commission, the Dutch Parliament, Cebemo, the Ministry of Housing, and the Ministry of Housing and Environment. She has contributed to the progress of divers, mainly international social issues. Before she started at CNV,  Marie José was director of the Center for International Legal Cooperation (CILC).
