On November 10, 2020, Earth Charter International launched a new campaign to endorse the Earth Charter. By committing to the Earth Charter, you demonstrate your choice for a better world. Better in how we treat the Earth and each other.

The COVID-19 pandemic has made us pause and reconsider our ‘normal’ lives. More importantly, it has shown us that it is truly possible to pause and change. It has shown us that there is room for a ‘better normal,’ where we consume less, care more, and live better.

As we look to the future, we have an opportunity to commit to this new normal characterized by more justice, sustainability, and peace.

What are the barriers to achieving respect for nature, human rights, economic and social justice, and a culture of peace? This is the moment to transform these barriers into challenges and commit to finding solutions. TOGETHER.

It begins with embracing the integral vision of the Earth Charter, the result of a collective global dialogue that laid the ethical foundation for a better global society. A widely accepted basis for personal and collective change. To realize the new normal, we need to turn our awareness into action.

We can take action by applying the Earth Charter principles in our daily lives, at work, and in school. We can take action by building bridges and collaborating, by taking local and international initiatives. We can take action by inspiring others, people within your sphere of influence, to also take action and commit to the Earth Charter. We can collectively take action by endorsing the Earth Charter. If you have previously endorsed the Earth Charter, we invite you to do so again by signing the commitment declaration.
