Janneke Bosman

My name is Janneke Bosman. From a young age, I loved helping people and wanted to solve problems and conflicts if they arose. To pursue this passion, I went abroad to help people in developing countries.

Once back in the Netherlands, I decided to apply this further. I started guiding groups during their coming-out process at the COC.

I also see it reflected in my work experience in international development cooperation. In this, I managed teams abroad for a long time, and regularly gave speeches to groups, up to 1.300 people.

I also worked for a time at De Luisterlijn (Sensoor), where anyone can go with his or her story.

Nowadays I follow one of my greatest passions: guiding people through personal coaching. I use the principles and techniques of Phoenix Opleidingen in Utrecht: Transactional Analysis, Systemic Work and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).

Sarah Olij

Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Organizations and a Master’s in Public Management and Leadership. In 2024, she will commence her studies in the master’s program Crisis and Security Management: Governing Crises at Leiden University. In 2023, she gained experience at Worldconnectors, an Affiliate of Earth Charter, in her role as an intern.

Her area of interest lies within the SDG sector, as evidenced by her previous position at SDG House Amsterdam, where she worked to promote SDG 17 (Partnership for the Goals). Additionally, Sarah participated in the inaugural edition of the SDG Traineeship, where she developed a training program for Works Councils to promote inclusivity and diversity, commissioned by the Wissemagroup.

Jasmijn Rikmenspoel

Jasmijn heeft de bachelor Internationale Politiek voltooid en start in 2024 met de master Latijns-Amerikastudies. In 2023 was ze met veel plezier stagiaire bij de Worldconnectors, Affiliate Earth Charter.

Ze zit bij de DEAL Foundation waar ze zich inzet om ondernemerschap in de Global South te stimuleren door middel van verschillende projecten en spaarplannen. Ook is ze actief in Nederlandse politiek.  Daarnaast houdt ze van reizen en het leren kennen van andere landen, culturen en mensen.

Ze is voornamelijk geïnteresseerd in talen, bevordering van democratie, vrede & veiligheid en in de duurzame transitie.

Jolanda Schepers

Jolanda Schepers roams the world as a traveling Clinical Psychologist in search of what connects us as humans. At its core, we are all alike, seeking the same: a happy and meaningful life. How this looks is different for everyone. Jolanda integrates knowledge from Western psychology with the ancient wisdom of indigenous and traditional peoples, aiming to improve mental health and mental healthcare globally.

Nina Scholte

Professional background 

Nina obtained her master’s degree in (Un)Sustainable Societies: Past, Present, and Future in 2023. During her master’s program, she focused mainly on contemporary Latin American history related to sustainability. She further developed her interest in sustainability during her employment at Worldconnectors. Initially starting as an intern, she later took on the role of junior coordinator.

Girma Segaar

What does it mean to be human? Answering that question is his life’s work. For him, it seems to be primarily about the relationship of humans to themselves, to others, and to the world. That’s why Girma is engaged in contributing to social and ecological justice on a small scale, from how he interacts with himself, family, and friends, to the larger scale, including his role as an entrepreneur in ecological building materials and as an advisor on social and societal issues

Lorain Drennan

Living in balance with- and working together with- all of nature always felt natural to Lorain. As a young girl she was already fascinated by indigenous peoples and their interconnected way of life. Lorain holds degrees in interdisciplinary studies specialised in biodiversity and ecosystems, and is certified in diving and yoga. She has a professional background in (marine) conservation and community engagement, working for international- and local-NGOs on projects, ranging from local to global scale. Currently her focus is on nature-coaching and -education, as well as being in training at the Firekeeper Academy. Lorain’s mission is to help people to (re)connect to both their inner-nature (‘true self’; heart-centred) and their outer-nature (people, places; all of life). The values and principles of Earth Charter deeply resonate with what she stands for and she is simply very happy that initiatives such as Earth Charter and World Connectors exist nowadays.

Caroline Lubbers

What causes our systems to stagnate, and how can we improve them? Caroline’s fascination with this question emerged early on. During her work for the think-tank LEAP2020, she learned a lot about system changes and, more importantly, how we can contribute to them from Europe. She became inspired by systemic thinking and the potential of the future. She has since incorporated this focus into her daily work in the sustainability of the cocoa chain. The challenges include deforestation, child labor, and a living income for farmers. In addition, Caroline is actively involved in gender equality and has established a network of women in cocoa.

Marcel Beukeboom

Professional background 

Marcel Beukeboom, as a diplomat, is always in search of common interests, with his compass set on the most sustainable solutions. He consistently tries to zoom out and keep the long term in mind. As a climate envoy, he represented the Netherlands in international climate negotiations, translating ‘Paris’ into local action. Now, he does the same as the Dutch ambassador to the United Nations food and agriculture organizations in Rome. Young people can always count on his support and attention, just like his bicycle

In her profession as a Social Innovator, she focuses on the importance, voice, and rights of the generations after us.
